Butler County Schools is proud to announce that Superintendent Joseph Eiland has been selected as the School Superintendents of Alabama (SSA) District 2 Superintendent of the Year.
District 2 includes the following school systems: Autauga County, Butler County, Choctaw County, Dallas County, Selma City, Lowndes County, Marengo County, Demopolis City, Linden City, Perry County, Sumter County, Wilcox County, and the Alabama School of Healthcare Sciences.
Mr. Eiland will represent District 2 in the statewide selection process for Alabama Superintendent of the Year, with interviews scheduled for June 16, 2025, during the annual School Superintendents of Alabama Conference.
Butler County Schools has partnered with Kelly Education to hire Substitute Professionals.
Butler County Schools will begin purging special education records (IEPs) on July 1, 2025 for students who exited the program prior to June 2019. This includes students who graduated, transferred, or withdrew.
The Butler County Child Nutrition Program is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to all children without charge, ages 0-18 years. Meals will be provided starting June 2, 2025 until July 17, 2025.
